Good Arvo Bridgees,
There has been a lot of excitement around Nic Peterkin's new trendy wine label L.A.S Vino (standing for Luck, Art and Science ), and we are proud to have had his entire range in store from day dot.
He is now showing how he puts his wine together here in Fremantle, at his Pop-up Urban Winery at The Mantle in Fremantle. We had the opportunity as a team to go down and get involved hand sorting, de-stemming and basket pressing some of his amazing fruit resources. It was great for me to show the team how much effort goes into making non-commercial quantities of wine. Such a good night.
The winery is in action after 6pm all weekend and early next week, so go check it out if your keen.
To celebrate , we have a fun and exciting project here at Old Bridge.
Part of the 2014 L.A.S Vino Pirate Blend ( one of Nick’s favourites, a cool blend of Tinta Cao, Sousao and Touriga Nacional) is quietly maturing in barrel down at The Mantle.
The deal is….. You get to come down to Old Bridge and decorate your own wine bottle however you want ( paint pens provided ) we then take it to be filled by Nic from Barrel, then hand dipped in wax.
Cellar it, Drink it, I’m thinking Valentines Day…… brownie points.
All kicking off Saturday Morning from 9.30am, we only have 10 Bottles ( Cass has already decorated hers )
They need to be completed and returned to Old Bridge by 9pm next Tuesday for bottling on Wednesday.
First in best dressed, $50, this includes an amazing colour poster showing the whole process.
Strictly one per customer.
