Friday night tasting 13th March - Talisman Wines

Talisman Wines is a small family run winery based in the Ferguson Valley Wine Region of Western Australia. 

The unique site is surrounded by the Wellington National Park and was initially purchased for is extreme beauty as a weekend escape for the family. The vineyard was planted with select varieties that were matched with the most suitable slopes and soil types on the property. The vineyard now produces Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot and the alternative varieties Malbec and Zinfandel. The superb quality fruit is complimented by the delicate winemaking style of Peter Stanlake who works his magic to create Talisman’s award winning
wines.

We will have the following wines open this FRIDAY the 13th of March between 4.00pm and 7.00pm .

Talisman Riesling 2014 : Crisp and refreshing with aromas of bath salts and floral lemon blossom with a hint of spice. The palate is precise with a piercing youthful acidity sustaining a long finish. It is the perfect accompaniment to a spicy Thai salad or seafood. 

Talisman Chardonnay 2012 : Powerful bouquet of mandarin peel, toasted sourdough, kaffir lime and lantana. The palate crisp and clean with hints of orange, hazelnuts, crème brulee and a long, nutty finish. 

Talisman Zinfandel 2011 : This delightful example of Zin has a fragrance that suggests freshness vitality and richness. Raspberries, musk sticks and hints of cardamom. The full bodied palate is at once dense, balanced and lively.

Talisman Cabernet Malbec 2010 : Blackberry, licorice, spice, cassis and lush mouth filling tannins make this wine a very tasty and easy to drink drop.
