Good Afternoon Bridgees,
For tomorrow night’s free wine tasting will be opening 2 great examples of Australian Shiraz. A warm climate Barossa Shiraz from Heirloom Estate, and a cool climate Shiraz ( Syrah ) from the Grampians ( Great Western ) region of Victoria. We will also have 2 Champagne’s open, a Vintage Blanc de Blanc 2006 and the amazing Brut N/V which spends four years on its yeast lees, both from the Jacquart Champagne House.
Heirloom Estate Shiraz Barossa 2012: Aroma’s of blackberries, spice and red fruits lead into a palate of blackberries, dark chocolate, cream and spice characters from extended use of quality French oak, integrated with an almost chalk like tannin structure that compliments the pure fruit profile.
Chockstone Grampians Shiraz 2012: A riper style for a cool climate, brambly notes on the nose, with a soft and generous palate of blackberries, cassis, dark chocolate and black pepper spice, interwoven with violets, bacon fat and liquorice.
Champagne house Jacquart is an Old Bridge Cellars favourite, delivering exceptional value for money at the highest quality.
Champagne Jacquart Brut Mosaique N/V : Selected from the finest terroirs in Champagne, including many Grands Crus such as Cote des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. This wine is composed of 35-40% Chardonnay and balanced by the presence of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It contains around 20% of an aged reserve wine, and then aged on lees for 3-4 years in the champagne caves.
Champagne Jacquart Blanc de Blanc 2006: Created from a single grape variety in Chardonnay, and only form a single, exceptional vintage. This wine is made using fruit from only Jacquarts best Grands and Premiers Crus Vineyards, such as Avize and Chouilly. This wine is Fresh, fine and complex.
We will have all of these wines open between 4.00pm and 7.00pm tomorrow night, Friday the 1st of May !
