Good Afternoon Bridgees,
We have 2 HUGE tasting events for you this week!
Andrew Quin, the acclaimed head wine maker at HENTLEY FARM, will be here in the west, in-store at Old Bridge Cellars this Wednesday night between 4.00pm and 6.30pm.
Hentley Farm received the prestigious title of “Winery of the Year” in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion 2015.
Andrew perfected his craft in Sonoma California and then in Bordeaux France before returning to a region that would let him combine his scientific knowledge and artistic passion, the mighty Barossa Valley.
This is an amazing opportunity to try through some of these rare Barossa gems, and have a chat to the genius behind this power house of a label. Their acclaimed “The Beauty” Shiraz will be open, along with “Neighbours and Friends” 2013 and the Estate 2013 Shiraz’s, as well as my personal favourite the “Stray Mongrel” 2014 a delicious blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Zinfandel!
Then on Friday night, we have John Griffiths from FABER VINEYARDS in the Swan Valley with us in-store for our weekly Friday tasting. We will have 6 of John’s wines open, and he will take you through the process from soil to stelvin. I will email a more complete list of the wines out later in the week.
HENTLEY FARM TASTING with Andrew Quin – WEDNESDAY JULY 22rd at 4.00pm – 6.30pm
FABER VINEYARDS TASTING with John Griffiths – FRIDAY JULY 24th at 4.00pm – 7.00pm
