Good Afternoon Bridgees,
For tomorrow night’s free Friday Tasting, we have the range of Montefalco’s preservative free wines from the Porongurup’s sub region of WA’s Great Southern. Family owned and operated, this winery is nestled between the Stirling ranges and Albany, just east of Mount Barker. The vineyards are biodynamic and organically managed, and the wines naturally produced with no additions, chemicals or preservatives.
Montefalco was the original PF range at Old Bridge, and they have produced consistently flavoursome wines, with a brilliant sense of place.
Open will be….
Montefalco Sangiovese Rose 2014: Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, in a light crisp style, to be served chilled with good food in company of friends.
Montefalco Sangioves 2012: The original variety of Tuscany and Umbria, its name coming from its colour ‘Sangue Di Giove’ , ‘Blood of Juniper’. Medium bodied, fresh and vibrant with long earthy flavours and a hint of French oak.
Montefalco Cabernet Sangiovese 2012: Australia’s very own version of the world renowned ‘super tuscan’. Medium bodied, well balanced, easy drinking for any occasion.
Montefalco Shiraz 2013: The long growing period of the Great Southern is perfect for Shiraz, fragrant and medium bodied, with plenty of spice in the fore. Age or enjoy now.
Montefalco Reserve Cabernet Franc 2011: Soft tannins, elegant and ripe flavours with a long finish. Incredible pairing with soft French cheeses and/or dark chocolate!
See you all down here tomorrow night, Friday the 3rd of July, between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.
