For this Friday night's FREE in-store tasting, we will be featuring the wines from 7th generation Barossan Troy Kalleske, whose family have been growing grapes since 1853.
In 1999 Troy graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Oenology) Degree from the University of Adelaide, achieving a distinction average. During his studies Troy was awarded no less than three scholarships, including the prestigious South Australian Wine and Brandy Industry Association Medal for Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Oenology).
Following university, Troy was part of the winemaking team at Penfolds, Veritas, Seppelts, Miranda, Lindemans, and Kendall-Jackson. In 2002, after 149 years of farming and grape-growing by the Kalleske family, Troy took the next step and established the Kalleske winery. This is here where Troy now hand crafts his Kalleske wines.
These wines have always been a favourite here at Old Bridge, with Troy making so many interesting styles. A vouvray inspired Chennin blanc, and lifted and fruit driven GSM and a silky smooth Barossa Valley Shiraz to name a few,all matched with a nice Prosecco to start.
As always, the wines will be open from 4.00pm - 7.00pm , this Friday the 4th of March in-store at Old Bridge Cellars.
See you all down here!
