We can be a little bit boujee here at Old Bridge. We were recently treated to a caviar tasting with the team from Calendar Cheese...all in the name of research we swear! We are very excited to be able to offer our customers access to PRE-ORDER CAVIAR for the silly season.
We tasted through six different varieties and narrowed it down to our favourite three, including Black Pearl White Sturgeon, Oscietra Black and Oscietra Royal. We're offering 10g, 30g and 50g tins so most price points are covered.
We also saw an interesting serving suggestion - Chicken McNugget, Creme Fraîche and Caviar - we're not recommending it necessarily...just passing on the information, and yes we will be trying this ourselves.
Black Pearl White Sturgeon - provides a creamy, nutty burst on the tongue with a distinctly crisp, clean finish. The flavour of this caviar is perfectly balanced with round notes, combining delicate nuances of the sea with light, buttery hints of pastry.
Oscietra Black - has a distinct dark brown colour, a well-balanced flavour with beautiful silky nutty notes. The texture of Oscietra Black is firm, yet the pearls readily melt on the palate.
Oscietra Royal - only the largest roe are selected for this elegant caviar. This incredible product has a subtle flavour with fruit and nut qualities. The pearls are dark brown and black in colour.
Pre-orders must be in by Sunday 10th December and orders will be ready for collection from Monday 18th December (the week before Xmas). Caviar has a shelf life of approximately 7 weeks, so you can enjoy at any point over the silly season.
